What’s Hot In Music!

You may have found yourself attempting to “surfboard” to Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z’s latest track, “Drunnnnk Innnn Lovvvve ” this past year. However, that wasn’t the only catchy tune released in 2013 that we are still singing, dancing and snapping our fingers to in 2014.

Katy Perry and Juicy J has been burning up the pop charts landing the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100 with there smash “Dark Horse,” a tale of a woman who enchants men with her physical features.

Another song that has been getting a lot of attention and air way is Let Her Go by Passenger. Passenger is the stage name of singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg. Let Her Go was featured in the Budweiser “Best Buds” commercial and came in at number 4 in the top 5 Superbowl commercials for 2014.

Blessing our ears and filling our heads up with hope that real love does exist is John Legend; singing his way into the number 15 position on Billboard Hot 100 with his latest hit “All Of Me.”

With several mix tapes and a #1 album under his belt, Compton California rapper Kendrick Lamar is a force to be reckon with whose killing the rap game right now. Although, Lamer lost Best Rap Album at this years Grammy Awards to hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis his hard work and dedication to music didn’t go unnoticed.

Macklemore uploaded snap shots on Instagram of a text message he sent to Kendrick Lamar, telling the rapper, “You got robbed. I wanted you to win. You should have.” Later in an interview with XXL Macklemore spoke again about Lamar, “It’s well deserved; he did what he did, man! He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that’s how it go.”
